Allen, Texas (March 15, 2022) – The HUB, a Texas-based developer of entertainment districts, recently broke ground on its new venue at The Farm in Allen, a 135-acre mixed-use destination developed by JaRyCo. The open-air entertainment venue is The HUB’s first Texas location.
The HUB at The Farm, known for its inaugural location at scenic 30A near Seaside and Rosemary Beach, will be three times the size of the original destination. The mixed-use attraction will offer a variety of dining, entertainment and retail options specially designed for wholesome family entertainment. Located at Sam Rayburn Tollway and Alma Drive, The HUB will stand on 2.77 acres of land with 23,000 square feet of restaurant space, 5,200 square feet of event lawn space, a 13,000-square-foot plaza and a 15,000-square-foot two-story covered shared dining pavilion. The HUB is planned to open in Fall 2022.
“As a suburban concept designed for family and friends, we think The Farm in Allen is a perfect location for The HUB’s brand of good clean excitment,” said Brad Zeitlin, Founder and CEO of The Hub. “Our uniquely curated dining options and daily entertainment can only be found at The HUB. Combined with our focus on developing strong roots in Texas, we’ll be creating deep community ties and shared memories for years to come.”
The HUB-owned restaurants extending their locations to the new DFW location include Crave Roadside Sliders, a burger and sandwich fan-favorite; Local Smoke, a beloved barbecue spot; SuperFreeze, an ice cream and treats attraction; and the HUB Bar. The HUB team is also launching two new dining concepts specifically designed for Texas: SPOUT, a new bar concept with mixed drinks on tap in addition to beer, wine, craft cocktails and boozy milkshakes; and Republic, a tapas bar and kitchen with elevated dining space.
The HUB at The Farm is 100% leased with 10 uniquely curated restaurant concepts, including:
- A.P. Coffee & Bakery – an on-site coffee roaster with bakery items and house-made brioche doughnuts
- Gallagher’s Steak and Seafood – an elevated American fare + steak and raw bar
- Ginger’s Sushi & Juice – a sushi and juice bar with wellness drinks
- Hooked Sea to Table – a seafood concept coming from The HUB’s Florida destination with lobster rolls and crawfish hushpuppies
- Macho Taco – a Mexican soul food destination from Florida
- Pizzeria Flora – a flavorful pizzeria
- The Salty Butcher – a high-end butcher shop offering wine, house made sandwiches and charcuterie boards.
The venue will offer a wide variety of daily entertainment that will be free and open to the community, such as live music, outdoor movies, sports watch parties shown on a 25-foot LED screen, DJ events and more.
“Our goal is to bring new and unique experiences to The Farm in Allen, and The HUB will do just that,” said Bruce Heller, president of JaRyCo. “The HUB will be a great amenity just a short walk away for everyone living and working at The Farm, as well as everyone living in the surrounding neighborhoods.”
Through The HUB’s strategic partnership with the City of Allen, the open-air venue will bring around 100 jobs to the Metroplex and will serve as a collective space for community events, meetings and celebrations at The Farm.
“The HUB will be a great entertainment destination not only for city residents, but also for companies seeking a project that offers their employees walkable options for lunch and dinner,” said Daniel Bowman, executive director of Allen Economic Development Corporation. “The HUB adds a vibrant gathering place in a first-class mixed-use center, and we are excited to begin development on The Farm in Allen.”
The Farm in Allen is planned to have 1.6 million square feet of office, 142,000 square feet of retail, a 150-key hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, townhomes and 2,400 urban residential units. The development will also embrace the property’s natural beauty with a 1.5-acre lake, boardwalk restaurants, over 2.5 miles of hike and bike trails, a 16-acre greenbelt along Watters Creek and four additional park areas.
